Momma today usher in an exciting new chapter with the release of their irresistible single “Ohio All The Time” and its accompanying Zack Shorrosh-directed video. Imbued with the punchy effervescence of early-aughts alt-pop, “Ohio All The Time” finds the Brooklyn-based band reminiscing on a nostalgic time. "We wrote it about a summer when we were on tour, and it felt like everything in our lives changed within a one-month span,” they explain. “We wanted the video to capture that youthful feeling, like the world is brand new and everything is ahead of you. We went upstate to our friend’s house near Hudson to film, and just spent the whole day goofing off and running around." The release follows last night’s hometown co-headline show with Blondshell at Baby’s All Right as part of Spotify’s MARROW Presents showcase series. Momma will support beabadoobee on November UK tour dates, ending the run with a sold out headlining show at London’s The George Tavern on November 22nd; a current itinerary is listed below.
The past two years have seen Momma emerge as one of the most exciting new bands in rock. “Ohio All The Time” is their first release of original new music since 2023’s acclaimed single “Bang Bang,” which earned support from Rolling Stone (Songs You Need to Know), UPROXX (Best New Indie), Pitchfork (Selects), Stereogum, Paste (Best New Songs), NYLON, Consequence, FLOOD, Brooklyn Vegan, Under the Radar (Best Songs of the Week), and more. Momma have since made a triumphant Coachella debut (“crisp and kinetic set” - Pitchfork) and played shows with Pavement, Death Cab for Cutie, and Weezer, among others. They have also since been guests on Amoeba’s What’s In My Bag? and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’s #LateShowMeMusic series, performing “Rockstar” off their critically lauded 2022 album Household Name.
Momma is Etta Friedman (songwriter/vocalist/guitarist), Allegra Weingarten (songwriter/vocalist/guitarist), Aron Kobayashi Ritch (producer/bassist), and Preston Fulks (drummer). Stay tuned for more news coming soon.
