Maya Abee, hailing from Los Angeles, humbly offers a fresh new voice in the realm of indie singer-songwriters. Abee got in touch with her creativity at an early age, attending classes at various Los Angeles arts organizations and by being in the audience at her father’s poetry readings. She studied music at her Performing Arts High School, and as a result began her songwriting journey. Wearing her sonic influences proudly on her sleeve, she transforms indie-folk, 90’s post-punk, and dream pop vocabularies into a dream-folk language. Abee’s songwriting is intimate, confessional and often explores the world around her and all its gray areas.
