(16th January) Today, Lip Filler announce a new run of headline tour dates for April, with stops in Brighton, Leeds, Bristol and London. The innovative South Londoners have also shared a new visualiser for deceptive new single "Leeches" released last week - following 2024's companion single "Tricky" - both set to appear on a new project due for release later this year.
Seething indie-rock jostling with nervous energy, on "Leeches" fiery frontman George Tucker's impassioned vocal lines and potent rap bars move from resentment "I can't even wait / I'm sick of spinning plates" to desperation "I can't take these leeches", backed by scorched guitar lines and an energetic rhythm section.
Discussing the song's lyrical inspiration, Tucker added:
"Leeches is about someone who’s lost control of the wheel. Letting their bad habits and insecurities get the better of them until they can no longer trust anyone, damaging the relationships of everyone they hold dearest."
Swiftly amassing a devoted and feverish following for their "wall-shaking" live performances, the band's April tour dates follow sold-out headline shows across the capital and beyond in 2024. Lip Filler have also supported the likes of Alfie Templeman, The Mysterines, Master Peace, Picture Parlour and O. & have made buzzy festival appearances at The Great Escape, Dot To Dot, Left Of The Dial, Y Not, VISIONS and more.
Lip Filler's glowing hat tips from BBC Radio 1 (Jack Saunders, Sian Eleri, Nels Hylton) and BBC 6 Music (Steve Lamacq, Amy Lamé) and a 10/10 rating from Bob Vylan's Bobby Vylan on Huw Stephens' 6 Music Roundtable - join ardent support and high praise from press tastemakers such as Rolling Stone UK, NME, DIY Magazine, Dork Magazine, The Line of Best Fit, CLASH Magazine, Wonderland Magazine, Whynow, Notion and more.
Lip Filler play headline dates in Brighton, Leeds, Bristol and London this April. Tickets are on sale now here. Lip Filler are currently completing work on a new project, due for release later this year.
