Leftwich

Dreamlike, airy, and lush are just a few words that can be used to describe the music of Leftwich. Formed in 2021, Leftwich is the coalescence of two musicians (Elijah & Lex Leftwich) from Nashville, TN. Being involved in previous projects left both feeling burnt out, but when the couple started making music together while trapped in a snow storm, shoegaze/dream pop-influenced magic happened and an epic musical brainchild was born. Their debut single, “On A Roll (In The Cold)”, combines Lex’s ethereal vocals with Elijah’s textured guitars. When asked about the meaning of the song, Lex prefers to leave it up for interpretation. “The song means whatever you want it to mean,” she says. The single was mixed by Grammy-nominated producer/mixer Jorge Elbrecht (Japanese Breakfast, the Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs, Sky Ferreira, Wild Nothing, Tamaryn, Ariel Pink, Hatchie) and mastered by Grammy-nominated Heba Kadry (Garbage, Beach House, Bjork, Slowdive, Hayley Williams, Deer Hunter, Blonde Redhead, Alex G, Animal Collective, The Mars Volta, Ryuichi Sakamoto).
