Prolific composer, keyboardist and artist John Carroll Kirby's 2020 debut for Stones Throw Records is the soulful, spiritual and evocative album My Garden, which blends exotica, New Age and jazz into a unique new sound. In the same year, Kirby released Conflict, a piano album shared in response to the ongoing global pandemic. His latest release is Septet, a live record created with a full band, and a future jazz fusion classic.

John Carroll Kirby is also renowned for his talent as a collaborator. The Los Angeles-based pianist, producer and composer has created music with artists including Solange, Frank Ocean, Bat for Lashes, Connan Mockasin, Sébastien Tellier, Harry Styles, Cola Boyy, The Avalanches, and many more. In 2020, he co-wrote and produced Eddie Chacon's (of Charles and Eddie) comeback album, Pleasure Joy & Happiness.
