Hurdslenk returns to Hardgroove with the ‘Outside’ EP.
The North East UK-based producer follows 2023’s ‘Half Full’ EP for Ben Sims’ genre-defining imprint.

‘Futures’ opens up Hurdslenk’s ‘Outside EP’ with pulsing urgency, its thrusting synth stab and metallic leads underpinning an uncomplicated rhythm track built for maximum performance. ‘Jugular’, a percussive affair tweaked by modulating dub delays, keeps the head down and heart rate up, while the jacking, rugged and distinctly Hardgroove ‘Collect’ is all about the grit. ‘False Pretence’ closes things out by tipping a nod to ‘Futures’ with a decisive, cyclical lead while scraping percussion and deftly arranged builds and drops define its peak time appeal. 

With previous releases on Key Vinyl, Out of Place, and Reclaim Your City, Hurdslenk’s credentials are impressive for a producer who released his first music in 2021. His previous Hardgroove EP, the ‘Half Full EP’, saw support from Rodhad, James Ruskin, Steffi, Mumdance and a host of other influential artists, so it’s unsurprising to see him back on one of Techno’s most bankable imprints.
