With lyrics drenched in existentialism and perhaps a seasonal red, Test Run is Hannah Kate's most dramatic release yet. The track exudes the same energy as Hannah’s earlier releases but with slightly burnt edges- almost as though the track was the last thing she managed to grab when running out of a house fire. This energy is amplified by the implementation of eerie guitars, a meaner rhythm section and Hannah’s identifying powerful vocal delivery.
