Hannah Hu is a Chinese-British Singer-Songwriter from Bradford, West Yorkshire. Graduating from Goldsmiths University, Hu has gone on to work with legendary British groups such as Primal Scream and The Specials, appearing as a featured vocalist on The Special's 2021 album, Protest Songs 1924-2012. This led to a critically acclaimed live performance at BBC Radio Theatre with Steve Lamacq.
Described as “ A Modern Day Torch Singer” by @PrimalScreams, Bobby Gillespie, Hu released her debut EP Prisoner Of Love independently via her own label Priscilla Records. 2022 saw the collaboration between Hannah Hu and Japanese sound artist Takatsuna Mukai with the independent release of Thirty on Priscilla Records.
Hu also featured on the critically acclaimed 2022 release by ACID KLAUS, the new collaborative solo project from songwriter - producer Adrian Flanagan (The Moonlandingz, International Teachers of Pop and Eccentronic Research Council) and co-produced by Dean Honer (I Monster, All Seeing I, The Moonlandingz) titled Step On My Travelator: The Imagined Career Trajectory of Superstar DJ and Dance-Pop Producer, Melvin Harris released on Yard Act's ZEN F.C. label. Hannah shines through on the haunting, country comedown track “My Hats On Fire” featuring Richard Hawley on lap steel guitar.
