After their debut single, 'What she Wants' gaining support from Apple Music amongst others, GLAMBOY is ramping up their campaign to become indie's chaotic darling with new cut, 'Regular Sin' - out 9th February 2022.
GLAMBOY packages their internalised thoughts and anxieties in a way that could be danced to as much as cried to.
Both lyrically and musically, Regular Sin allows GLAMBOY to flex the muscle of their versatility which could only come about by the unfiltered, self-produced way the track came to life.
Speaking about the song they said: "Regular Sin? it’s essentially a piece of musical vomit. Me spewing every little nook and cranny of my brain, in a stream of consciousness onto a beat that harks back to sounds of the 1960s post-war krautrock wave. Some of my favorite records are the records that sound beat up, like they were recorded in a bedroom, released without the worry that comes with having to ‘fit in’. I wanted to write a song like that, and make it inherently me. It is raw and dirty in lyric and sound, the furthest thing from pristine, and that’s the beauty of it."
It's a sordid cut that lives adjacent, and certainly opposite, to What She Wants, in the sense that this is a total mood shift for the burgeoning Leeds star.
Sticking true to GLAMBOY’s mantra that people should be able to dance to their catharsis, Regular Sin is a call-to-arms to dance amongst the chaos of living in our messed up world.
Sounding like KennyHoopla with the South London twang of Bakar, The track is everything Gen Z could have ever asked for. It's the anthem they never knew they needed - let this be the start of better things.
It ultimately feels as though you know GLAMBOY as a friend after first listen, and a sibling on the second. And if dancing to their carthasis is their wish, dance we shall.
