Ahead of a 15-date UK/EU Headline tour commencing later this month [full dates below], Bristol/Manchester duo Getdown Services share debut album 'Crisps' out now (9th November) via Breakfast Records (Langkamer).

Sleaford Mods-meets-Peter Kay, 'Crisps' offers Getdown Services' most definitive statement to date. Weaving, 'Hard Rock Hallelujah', proto-punk, slacker, new wave, krautrock and electro-dance, and characterised throughout by the duo's impeccable turn of phrase, the 12 song set neatly showcases Getdown Service’s giddying knack for marrying astute social commentary within a boundless quest for drunken joy.

Whether they're taking on Greedy Landlords, late stage capitalism, overly polite waiters, or the final boss of life - TV chef Jamie Oliver himself - every moment of 'Crisps' is packed with hilarious, barbed, or poignant observations on all the boredoms, frustrations and ecstasies of life in 21st century Britain.

Having received emphatic press support from NME, DIY, Rough Trade, Blogotheque, So Young, Hard of Hearing, Wax, Overblown and Clunk - as well as radio airplay on BBC Radio 6Music (New Music Fix), and John Kennedy's X-Posure - Getdown Services have gone from strength to strength in the past 12 months

Building notoriety on the grassroots circuit with balls-to-the-wall live performances, the band have just returned from a tour dates supporting Fat Dog (at their sold-out Scala headline) and The Bug Club - bolstering prior dates with Personal Trainer, Saloon Dion and Public Body - the duo gear up for a nationwide headline shows later this month to support the album's release
