Funeral Tango

Funeral Tango are a mix of the concentrated and the atmospheric, capturing the push and pull of a singular band with both drive and destination in mind. The Funeral Tango sound has been honed via a series of arresting live performances (as Holiday Inn) in Sydney’s inner west.

An understated salute to 70's and 80's underground rock n roll and proto-punk - that is how Funeral Tango describes their debut album, Influencer, (Feb 12, 2021). Steeped in reverberations of Manchester's late 70s post-punk scene and the Iggy Pop / David Bowie Berlin, Influencer was completed during the lockdown in their hometown of Sydney and is a bracingly magnificent soundtrack crafted for strange times within surreal landscapes.
