ABOUT THIS ARTIST

Free Weed is the alias of Rikky Gage, an artist born in Portland, Oregon in 1989. He is the founder of the DIY label Gnar Tapes and the bands and , and has been self-recording and writing music since the age of 13.   He began performing with White Fang while still in high school, quickly becoming a fixture in various Portland music, art, and party scene. He started Gnar Tapes in 2008 to document his own prolific output and those of his friends, acquaintances, and heroes.   He has performed in 18 countries and 44 US states, and has released over 200 recordings under the Free Weed moniker alone.   Rikky.bigcartel.com
