Fredfades extensive record collection habits, his production and DJ skills has made him a formidable force in Europe, with a legend preceding him wherever he goes, from the listening bars in Japan to serious underground club bunkers across Europe and Australia. His DJ sets includes everything from 7” Boogie rarities to undiscovered gems of ‘90s era House music. Conducting dance floors or old samplers and synthsizers, where delicate soulful touches counterpoint rigid mechanical rhythms, Fredfades is a versatile figure in both the studio and the DJ booth, where he’s serving funkified Disco and Soul or Eurocentric House and Techno. There aren’t many dance floors Fredfades isn’t able to accommodate.
Fredfades have over the last few years carved out a distinctive sound as a producer. An old soul in a precocious talent, Fredfades projects extend from soulful Hip Hop to breezy House music or even ambient with albums and collaborations that has brought his sounds to an international audience through Stones Throw, TIDAL, Boiler Room, Jakarta Records and his own Mutual Intentions records.
Fredfades previously had residency at the world renown Jaeger Club in Oslo, as well as been playing loads of clubs and hi-fi bars around Europe, had tours in both Australia and Japan. He did the first Norwegian Boiler Room, and also did another Boiler Room in Oslo at a later point. Remarked as one of the worlds biggest collectors of private and underground house, techno, disco, modern soul and jazz records, Fred has been invited to share stages with people like Jeremy Underground, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Byron The Aquarius, Secret Sundaze, Skatebård, Jamie Tiller, DJ D.DEE, DJ Fett Burger, Telephones, Robert Owens, Bjørn Torske, Tom Noble, Kaytranada, Cashmere Cat, Peanut Butter Wolf, Dam-Funk, Diamond D, Pete Rock, D-Train, Hugo LX, Eternal Love, Red Greg, Zaf +++ and also been asked to do mixes for Discogs, Louise Chen, MCDE, Stamp The Wax, NTS, Worldwide FM, Dublab +++ which has streamed very well.
