Farah has been an Italians Do It Better mainstay since the label’s early years, working with producer/label head Johnny Jewel to craft powerful, minimalist dark disco cuts with poetic lyrics that she unfurls in both English and Farsi. The Texan’s debut came in 2007, with the hypnotic “Law Of Life,” a haunting slow-burner that meticulously dials up the suspense in a way that would make it seem right at home in a giallo picture. That same year, “Law Of Life” and her popular “Dancing Girls (Suite 304 Demo)” were showcased on After Dark, Italians Do It Better’s influential label sampler. 2010 brought the cult hit 12" single EP, “Gay Boy.” Farah made a appearance on the After Dark 2 compilation in 2013 with “Into Eternity,” a dark, evocative, arpeggiator-driven track that intoxicates with its spaciousness and spectral beauty. A year later, Farah's music made it to the silver screen when “Dancing Girls” was used in Ana Lily Amirpour’s Iranian vampire western A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night Soundtrack and Mathieu Demy's film Americano starring Salma Hayek. Most recently, Farah released the otherworldly 2017 EP The Only Ones again on Italians Do It Better.
