Who hasn't replayed the events of past nights in their heads? Ex en Provence set “the back-to-front” stage for their latest release in a beer and smoke stained East London working mens club, recalling romantic failures and obscured night life Cliches. The lyrics themselves moving in reverse through the narrative, ”Everybody’s laughing so I guess I should say something funny” The backdrop, a potion of almost-nostalgic 60s era sliding sitar-like Guitars, proto punk energy and catchy synth bass. The most unpleasant disco you have ever begged a bouncer to get into. The morning after listening, with a sore head you'll ask yourself if you enjoyed it? The vocal refrain still ringing in your ears. Ay-ya-ya! The song was recorded in Northampton with Adam Gammage (Tom Grennan) and Greg Coulson (Spriritualized). 'Forward Moonwalk” heralds the band's foray forward with a clutch of shows and releases planned for fall 2023.
