Described as an 'ambient-electro lynchpin' or 'veteran of the underground' by some, Datassette produces with an assured feel for the intricacies of creating emotional and addictive electronic music across a wide range of sub-genres, inventing a few new ones along the way.
An extensive and diverse back catalogue includes albums, EPs and remixes for Apollo (R&S), Shipwrec, Ai Records, Frequency Domain and Future Massive.
His commissions include a ten-channel ambient soundscape for the Norwegian Maritime Museum in Oslo, 8-bit video game sound effects for Pixeljam in North Carolina, and bespoke geotagged music inspired by architecture for the Musicity global project.
In between his production work he also curates the much loved Music For Programming series of podcasts, and co-runs Misc., a label specialising in releasing unexpected side-projects from artists and musicians.
