ABOUT THIS BAND

Communions was founded by brothers Martin and Mads Rehof in 2014. Originally a four-piece consisting of friends from high school, with Frederik Lind Köppen and Jacob Van Deurs Formann as part of the group, they released a series of acclaimed works — two full-length albums and four EPs — between 2014 and 2021, on labels such as Posh Isolation, Tough Love Records, Fat Possum, and Tambourhinoceros, culminating in 2021’s Pure Fabrication.

During the recording of Pure Fabrication, Frederik Lind Köppen and Jacob Van Deurs Formann parted ways with the band. As of 2025, Communions have evolved into a new four-piece lineup, with brothers Martin Rehof (vocals and guitar) and Mads Rehof (bass) still at the helm, joined by new members Mikkel Skibye (drums), and Morten Heide (piano, keyboards, and synthesizers).
