Created during the first lockdown in the UK, Cliché Cult are a four piece indie/post-punk band based in Leeds, UK.
Of course, unable to gig for the first 13 months of their existence, they still managed to release their first 3 singles which were met with great acclaim and were subsequently picked up by the likes of BBC Introducing and XS Manchester. Following on from this, their recent singles have gone to be featured on BBC Radio 6 Music with Steve Lamacq and John Kennedy’s show on Radio X. They are currently gearing up for a long string of releases in 2023.
Once the live circuit opened up again, they played numerous support slots with the likes of Neon Waltz and The Illicits, curated by promoters such as This Feeling and Metropolis. They also managed to grab a support slot at The Brudenell Social Club with NYC band Geese, and more recently The Big Pink, as well as playing on an exclusive line-up chosen by Creation Records' Alan McGee at The Irish Centre in Leeds.
The band are set to have a great year, hoping to hit festivals in the summer and gain valuable support slots during the off-season.
