ABOUT THIS BAND

Chien Méchant is a new French duo from Paris.   They have been present on social networks for a few months now and are launching a series of live mini-titles filmed in their studio entitled #DansLaNiche.   The duo of professional musicians, friends since high school, exude a unique energy in their performances, on electronic productions that explosively mix the codes of electro, jazz and psychedelic rock.   The palette is wide, reminiscent of Justice, Todd Terje, Snarky Puppy or Pink Floyd, all over French and English lyrics, spoken, sung, vocoded and pitched.   They deliver rich compositions, often danceable, sometimes soaring, in an ultra-energetic live keyboard/drums format.   In September 2020 we can see them alongside David Walters with their remix of his track Manyé, released on Heavenly Sweetness.   Signed to Parisian label Nowadays Records, they plan to release a first single in early 2022 and launch a series of concerts with tour operator Bleu Citron.
