Bastian Benjamin

Bastian Benjamin is a versatile artist hailing from the eastern part of the Netherlands who weaves together electronica, breakbeat, and dubstep to create a rich tapestry of sound. His unique and experimental approach to creating and playing music is reflected in both his live and DJ sets, which are characterized by highly textured percussive drums, deep basses, and hypnotizing soundscapes.

Bastian was introduced to music at a young age, starting with piano lessons that would lay the foundation for his later work. Under his artist name Bastian creates a musical narrative that is both compelling and experimental, drawing inspiration from the likes of Lorn, Forest Swords, Skee Mask, and DjRUM as well as from the art of cinematography.

In 2020, Bastian released his debut album "Two Truths" on his own label "Passage", which has since led to several productions for theater and dance, including the premiere of "EXIT" by Piet van Dycke which premiered at Oerol in 2022.
