Ambient Jazz Ensemble

Ambient Jazz Ensemble's ethos is one of storytelling, a cinematic journey. Tracks begin from a simple idea, a texture, an ambient soundscape that has room to grow, often blossoming into euphoric suites. At the heart of every track is a jazz ensemble, but the music owes much to electronica or orchestral influences rather than jazz, it is merely the palette of sounds & collaborative musicianship that carve the AJE musical landscape. 
 With a highly accomplished career in music - Colin Baldry (AJE) - writing and producing for iconic labels like RCA, Geffen, Motown, Virgin & Capitol Records, whilst arranging and conducting The BBC Concert Orchestra and The City Of Prague Philharmonic, Baldry’s expansive experience has in result meant a bigger approach to ideas. With access to working with world-class orchestras, he has been able to create large-scale epic arrangements, which has no doubt furthered his talent for emotive, cinematic compositions. Ambient Jazz Ensemble's sound is inspired by Gil Evans, Brian Eno and David Axelrod.
