‘Piet Alder, the owner & founder of Taxi Gauche Records has been not only an influential figure on the music scene in Zurich over years, but a medium connecting the rock’n’roll bands overseas from the burgeoning movement in California to Switzerland. He was the first to introduce bands such as Froth or Corners to Zurich, hosting sold out shows for them both at the iconic underground Gonzo club, and has continued to bring countless artists to Zurich to spread their message and music to the fans of Zurich. Alder has focused his efforts with Taxi Gauche to bring attention to much-deserved Swiss bands and artists, expanding their reach across Europe and the U.S. as well as select upcoming european vinyl releases for influential underground artists from around the world.’
