sonaBLAST! Records is a record label and music publishing and placement company located in Louisville, Kentucky. sonaBLAST! was established in 2002 by then New York-based film producer Gill Holland. After signing several artists, including acclaimed Irish singer-songwriter Mark Geary, Holland moved to Louisville, where he and his small team, headed by Jaxon Lee Swain, have continued to unearth and support quality artists. sonaBLAST! Records' catalog is much like its Louisville home: abundant in great art and authentically true to its roots. Our artist repertoire crosses all genres, from Ben Sollee, a revelatory soul-singing cellist, to GRLwood, self-proclaimed Kentucky Fried queer punk, to The Pass, young mavens of dance rock, to rapper Jack Harlow (appeared on Fallon show early 2020) and Americana rockers Quiet Hollers and much more. Our acts have been critically acclaimed in the NY Times, Billboard, Paste and on NPR's All Things Considered (Cheyenne Marie Mize), placed on shows such as Gossip Girl (The Pass), HBO's Girls, Vampire Diaries (Nerves Junior), and hundreds of TV, MTV shows and award-winning independent feature films (from THE BIG SICK to MAIDENTRIP (with that SXSW-winner's score having already about 20 millions streams) to Ron Howard's HILLBILLY ELEGY. Our offices were once housed in The Green Building, the 'greenest' commercial building in Kentucky, and now we are in Louisville's historic Portland neighborhood. We are proud to have surpassed 120,000,000 streams on Spotify alone so please check us out here!
