city: North LondonA whirlwind of poetic chaos, ALL DESIRES TROUBLE US is an EP bursting alive, pushing the boundaries of experimental rap. Like a vivid dreamscape, this five-track EP is a journey through the labyrinthine corridors of TaliaBle's mind. From the playful dystopia of ‘Pandora’z Spit’ to the gritty reality of ‘Metal Club’ each track offers a glimpse into the artist's innermost thoughts, painting a vivid portrait of the Black and queer experience, British youth culture, and fluctuating mental health. As the bass-heavy beats pulsate around her words, TaliaBle’s delivery is constantly morphing atop expert production and diverse instrumentation.
TaliaBle is a North London based, punk rapper and visual artist who creates a world full of surplus wonder, surrealism and raw stories. Gaining attention from the likes of i-D and The Face as well as headlining a ‘Late at the Tate’ show, TaliaBle has been hailed as ‘exciting, experimental and punk as hell.’ From 100 Club to Keephush, Round House, Outbreak Festival, KOKO and Pickle Factory, TaliaBle is carving out a yellow brick road through the underground scene proving her intention of ‘utilising music as a soundscape catalyst for imaginary world building.’
Born and raised in Tottenham, TaliaBle found her voice through poetry, writing about mental health, social injustice and the Black experience while studying at Central Saint Martins. Here, she also developed her own visual language which now permeates throughout her work. She has directed music videos for the likes of Nia Archives, Obongjayar, and Cruel Santino. During her time working at music broadcasting platform Keep Hush her eyes were opened to the underground music scene. It was there she met hardcore punk producer Karl Brinaj. Recognising her raw talent and moshpit-inducing potential, Karl played a pivotal role in shaping TaliaBle's abrasive sound, marking the beginning of an exciting artistic collaboration.
TaliaBle, the 25-year old rapper and visual artist, is poised for greatness with the unveiling of her debut EP Al l Desires Trouble Us, set for release on 12 July via PRAH Recordings: http://linktr.ee/alldesirestroubleus On ‘Problem Solving Pit’, TaliaBle delivers a poignant narrative over a bed of warped string samples and freeform double bass. The track captures the North-London artist’s experimental approach to musical storytelling, combining intricate rap flows, urgent punk delivery and intricate production. ‘Problem Solving Pit’ was initially used in a short art house film by TaliaBle which reimagines and subverts ideas about Tottenham’s estates through a queer lens, to help inspire the often creative kids who live in them. On new single ‘Problem Solving Pit’ TaliaBle offers: “My bed is my problem solving pit. Where thousands of thoughts tend to visit me before dreamland, this song was written on a familiar sleepless night. Pulling history from the ruff around my neck, this track serves as a surreal ink written letter; For if my last words ever had to be said sometime soon. Extracted from my short film ‘To Trudge In Zundon’ which utilized an art house film approach to subvert ideas about estates and address new voices, specifically creative, queer kids who live within blocks. ”
