After the full length release and tour of his much loved Music for Autumn Lovers album, Scrimshire quickly follows up with more seasonally inspired music.
Frosted feels like a very natural companion to the autumn set, stripped down to the essentials and probably inspired by the exploration of his solo live show, the song builds slowly on an icy drone as brittle guitar unfolds alongside reverberated calls from distant synths.
When the Rhodes, bass and finally, the beats created entirely from the sound of his guitar, enter it is like wrapping up by a warm fire to protect from the icy barrens of the opening minutes.
