London Écossaise ‘Anti Music’ state of permanent-flux collective, Moderate Rebels, release a new single ‘Reject All’ on 10th October on Everyday Life Recordings.
Taken from upcoming ‘Phygital’ EP (11th November), “ ‘Reject All’ is “our limited attempt to invent an upbeat, feel-good MR version of ‘shoegaze disko’, ” say Moderate Rebels.
“Lots of the unresolved ideas in our new EP songs are back and forths about tradition & technology, autonomy & authority – thinking about the language used around that, and how it conceals and reveals the consequences of the actual distribution of resources involved – but this song was more about a white Les Paul, a strobe light, a beat-up old baby grand piano, dry ice and a space disko beat,
in our studio space, triggering some automatic writing while we are enjoying a repetitive hypnotic feeling. We’d hesitate to use the word groove, but maybe it could be a danceable chant.”
Moderate Rebels will release their 4th album in December.
More news on that soon.
