The 1st single from Meltt’s upcoming sophomore LP. Lyrically, Only In Your Eyes explores the idea of time as an unrelenting river that can carry us and our loved ones away. In this river of time nothing is as important as our attempts to find comfort, meaning, and happiness with the ones we love, even though we know some will reach the end of the river before us.
The song was written whilst the band were living in a remote cabin in the western Canadian woods. The band found that in the isolation of the previous years, and the solitude of the cabin, their music and lyrics began to reflect a need to connect with other people more than ever. This resulted in some of the bands brightest most colorful and energetic sonic palette that the band has ever used before.
