Today we release two songs: ‘Country Fuckboy’ and ‘Exist’.
Søren came up with the title ‘Country Fuckboy’ when we had relocated from Copenhagen to his childhood home far out in the Danish countryside during lockdown. Out here, under the flat sky of West Jutland, we could write music around the clock. We joked about settling down and becoming potato farmers, since the farm was surrounded by potato fields and we pretty much ate nothing else. The contrast in the two incompatible words "Country" and "Fuckboy" is a good example of Søren's great humour and self-effacing irony.
That same summer, we wrote and recorded the song ‘Exist’ out on the farm for a Greenpeace live session. We were so happy with the vibe we managed to capture that we ended up using the recording for the finished track. The two songs represent a time we had together that we will never forget. It means everything to us to be able to share these songs with you.”
