Idler Wheel is the solo project of Boston based musician, producer, and songwriter Michael Boylan. In his unique brand of spectral indie rock, influences as diverse as The Cure, Deftones, Bon Iver, Radiohead, and Joy Division collide in a haunting sound of autumnal grayscale, tracing along the lines of post-punk, with dalliances through space-rock, indie, alternative and whatever else swirls around this gritty, weathered breed of atmospheric sonic landscapes.
