"...the record not only captures a cross-section of alternative music's current zeitgeist, but also the neurotic paranoia of the near-dystopian times we're living in." - Kerrang!
“…HEALTH’s music blurs the boundaries between noise-rock, industrial, electronic rock and more in a sonically confrontational way that speaks eloquently to headbangers and heshers” - Revolver (Feature)
HEALTH’s latest collaborative album, DISCO4 :: PART II, is out today via Loma Vista Recordings to praise and features via Kerrang! (digital cover story), Revolver, Brooklyn Vegan, Metal Injection, DIY Magazine, Treble, and more. The 12-song LP featuring Nine Inch Nails and Lamb of God arrives with six previously unreleased collaborations–including “NO ESCAPE” with The Neighbourhood (watch its new video featuring the band's Jesse Rutherford here), as well as The Body, Backxwash, and Perturbator, among others–and a new original HEALTH single, “THESE DAYS 2.0.2.1.”. Directed by Patrick Lascu, the “NO ESCAPE” video mimics the cult classic video game Metal Gear Solid and features rendered characters of the band members. Stream and purchase DISCO4 :: PART II at all DSPs HERE.
The band of Jacob Duzsik, John Famiglietti, and Benjamin Miller also announced the initial headlining U.S. shows of a 2022 world tour that includes European dates with Peturbator, Youth Code, and Maenad Veyl; a full itinerary is listed below and tickets are on-sale now.
Three years after VOL.4 :: SLAVES OF FEAR, the L.A. trio’s ferocious entry into the world of heavy music, HEALTH return with the second half of their DISCO4 series. A whole lot went to hell in the world in the meantime, forcing the band to re-invent how they wrote music together. For DISCO4 :: PART II they cut it fast and mean, recruiting both legends and nascent contenders of heavy music and its many peripheral genres.
Praise for DISCO4 :: PART II:
"...a smorgasbord of expertly realized team-ups" - Metal Hammer, 8/10 stars
"... while these tracks are a testament to how well the LA trio can build an astronomical sense of atmosphere, they can create icy harshness with equal brilliance." - DIY, 4/5 stars
"Collaboration in music has become increasingly common across all genres, but HEALTH have gone above and beyond what this typically looks and sounds like. Their series of DISCO albums were previously companion remixes to their full-lengths, but now, they’ve reimagined them as massive collaborative efforts, with each song melding a different artist’s style with HEALTH’s visceral electronic sound... with HEALTH choosing to only work with artists they personally enjoy listening to, the results are exceeding expectations.” - Alternative Press
