The Zolas bassist Dwight Abell has shared a new single as dwi, “Party4One.”
Born out of isolation, the Vancouver artist has been exploring some deeply personal indie pop sounds lately. Now, dwi has shared another new solo tune, “Party4One.” The track is a celebration of being a loner. With killer guitar riffs, echoing vocal lines, and driven percussion, the new tune is sure to get you dancing on your own. “Party4One” “captures dwi’s experience of cabin fever and losing touch with reality,” according to a release, “all the while falling in love with himself.”
“When writing this song, I wanted to make something that sounded colourful and peculiar,” he explains. “I kinda wanted to make my own version of “Creep” (Radiohead) or “Loser” (Beck), but instead of being self-deprecating, I wanted to create something that celebrated being a loner.
